Do I need to be a Licensed Esthetician to begin Microblading training?

NO! Classes are open to all levels. You will need to check with your local county Health Department or State Board and inquire about licensing needed to perform permanent makeup (each county has a different testing requirement for artist to practice microblading).

Is Microblading a tattoo?

Unlike a regular tattoo, microblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine.

Does Microblading hurt?

The pain level for the procedure is considered mild to none.

How long does it last?

Since microblading pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade over time depending on skin type (i.e. normal, oily, dry), age (i.e youthful, mature). Everyone's color retention within the skin will vary (1-3 years).

Is a touch-up session necessary?

YES! A touch-up session after 4-6 weeks, is necessary as everyone heals differently and the outcome will vary. During your touch-up session, your brows are refined to ensure they look perfect and retain their color for the whole year.

How long is the appointment?

It usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours, with most of the time spent going over colors and drawing eyebrows shapes. The microblading portion last approximately 30-45 minutes.

Who is ineligible for Microblading?

We DO NOT provide microblading for people:

– Under 18 years of age

– Pregnant or Nursing

– With diabetes, glaucoma or skin diseases (i.e. shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer or if you're taking skin medications like roaccutane and steroids).

Facts

– Peeling is normal. AVOID any sort of picking of dry skin as you might peel out the wrong parts and create bald spots in the newly reconstructed brow.

– NEVER rub the treated area, as it will disturb the skin from the natural healing process.

– The way you take care of your new brows after microblading will have a great impact on the way it looks. Improper care often results in fading or patchy brow.

– Small exfoliates and corrections may be possible, but if you want a complete removal you should see a Laser Specialist.

– Lighter pigments need more touch ups than if you choose a dark pigment.
